Project Introduction
For Hestia, the residential operating platform from the international business of Federated Hermes, Venture is providing development monitoring services for Axion House, Lewisham.
The scheme, made up of 100% affordable housing, will create 141 homes in total.
The development will play a vital role in growth plans for the area, with a mix of London Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership, set in landscaped gardens, with play areas and a communal terrace, plus riverside public realm.
There will also be 4876 sq. ft of commercial space.
The first homes will be available from March 2024.

London Square obtains planning consent for Axion House and enabling works are undertaken to support the launch of construction work.

Construction work begins on site.
The Venture and Square Roots teams are working closely with the London Borough of Lewisham, and Hestia, the residential operating platform from the international business of Federated Hermes, which has invested in building 100% affordable new homes on the 1.2-acre former warehouse site in Silver Road, in the heart of Lewisham town centre.

At Axion House, Lewisham, the first topping out ceremony for new affordable housing provider Square Roots, part of London Square, is held.
This an important milestone in plans to address and ease London’s housing shortage.
